Our 2023 Charity Partner
In 2023, Percy Hughes & Roberts were proud to support the amazing team at the Wirral Foodbank through various initiatives and fundraising. Our team are in awe of the work the Trustees and Volunteers carry out each day to provide emergency food to local people in crisis.
Percy Hughes & Roberts want to give back to the community that we have been a part of for over 100 years. We believe that no one should go hungry or wonder where their next meal is coming from. This is why we have partnered with Wirral Foodbank in order to provide ongoing support.
Local assistance of Wirral Foodbank is vital to the running of the charity, both keeping the shelves stocked up and ensuring volunteers can provide the service that many in the community unfortunately require. We want to help tackle food poverty in the Wirral in any way we can.
Throughout 2023, our team provided assistance in a number of ways, including:
- Organising fundraisers to help ensure no one has to go hungry
- Running food drives at our offices, encouraging staff and clients to donate
- Holding team building days – volunteering at the foodbank to see how we can help

About Wirral Foodbank
Wirral Foodbank is a local charity that has been providing emergency food to local people in crisis since November 2011. They have supported 119, 511 since they opened their doors eleven years ago. They are seeded by the Trussell Trust.
Volunteers at the foodbank collect and distribute non-perishable food; they are always in need of the following food items –

The majority of their food is donated by local people, without which they could not operate. Locals can donate food at various locations in the Wirral, including Tesco Bidston, Tesco Bebington and Tesco Heswall, Sainsbury’s Upton, most Co-op stores and all One-Stop Shops. The foodbank itself is located:
